Bio

Film and television actress, Alexandra Hind, was born on 30th April 1987 in Rochford. The family soon moved to a village near Epping, and it was here while in school that Alex got her first taste of acting - achieving an A in her drama exams.

The stage seemed set, but multi-talented and creative, Alexandra chose to study photography, media and music while at college. Her choices taught her many practical skills about the industry she loved, giving her the confidence to throw caution to the wind and leap into acting.

Alexandra attended a celebrated master class at the prestigious London Academy, and continues to attend various acting classes in and around London whenever her schedule will allow. Alexandra has small credits in blockbusters like Sweeny Todd (2007) and Wild Child (2007). Though slight, Alexandra has a powerful presence both on-screen and off, with an emotional maturity that allows her to embody many different roles.

There's no pigeon-holing this diverse English rose; in 2009 alone Alexandra has appeared on our TV screens as a child-friendly fairy (Legend of Dick and Dom), picked apples in Cranford, thrown a sex toy into a fire (Misfits) and died giving birth in a rural convent (Waking the Dead)!

Away from TV and film, Alex's skill behind the camera soon turned heads, and she was approached in 2009 to assist well-known events photographer in the Hertfordshire region! Keen to give back to the community, she has donated portrait experiences to charity auctions and raffles, and co-organised a fundraising event for Comic Relief in her hometown in 2009, which raised over £1000 in total.

With more projects in 2010, Alexandra will certainly be one to watch!
